MIDDELBURG. Thabo Mola, the man who admitted guilt in assisting in the murder of Afrikaner resident Jopie Beukes in 2009, has been sent to prison for four years.
Mr Beukes, who was not a wealthy man, was killed in the rental room in a house in Eugene Marais Street on 25 January 2009.
He was stabbed in the chest and the blood spattered all across the room also indicated that he had put up a fierce fight.
Shortly after Mr Beukes' murder two suspects were arrested: Lucky September Nkosi and Thabo Mola.
Mola confessed in the High Court in being an accessory to the murder but denied that he had wielded the knife which killed Mr Beukes.
However Nkosi has denied that he had 'any link to the murder'. His trial was moved to a High Court trial from 21 November.=========
